V3 for the blues

[One morning in dressing room, flyers have been given to everyone, even in the front paper of the newspaper. 'The first Crypton VOCALOID 3' and the news follows; Crypton has upgraded the male blue Vocaloid, KAITO, and he is known as KAITO V3. He received a very welcome from the public and surpass Hatsune Miku in sales. Comes with four voice banks, it's similar to Append; Straight, Soft, Whisper, and English for international use. KAITO V3 is successful result for VOCALOID 3 and Crypton decided to upgrade the others as well.]

It should be out months ago, but oh well. This year is a good start anyway.

[Says the append looking blue Vocaloid on top of the bus. He swinging his legs while reading the news.]

[had stumbled out of her hotel room bed and was heading over to the bathroom when her sleep-bleary eyes caught sight of a piece of paper on the floor. curious-- and a little concerned that maybe the credit card she and her family rely on was finally declined-- Meiko picked it up, skimming the flyer with some curiosity.

mere seconds later she's anything but tired. after re-reading it several times she throws on her clothing in a hurry and heads out to the hallway. briefly, she considers knocking on KaITO's door... Meiko would rather he hear about this from her than the same way she did...

but then she thinks better of it. she needs to think about this more. prepare herself. maybe go take a walk or something. just calm down and think.

and so, that's how Meiko ended up in the park, wandering around listlessly and in deep troubled thought. periodically she'll re-read the flyer and grit her teeth... all those angry and painful memories and thoughts coming right back to her]

[strangely, while Meiko sounds tense, she doesn't exactly sound angry. at least not as angry as she did when they first met. she'll be holding up the flyer now, her mouth drawn into a tight thin line]

[Len remembers what KaITO's code looked like by the time he got to it. layers and layers of nonsense and detritus - it was something of a wonder KaITO functioned at all.

all for a voice upgrade.

this means that either another Kaito has been ruined for the sake of "improvement", or KaITO's company all but destroyed his mind trying to do something that should have been exactly this easy.

[It's been a long time since he's been seen around the Dressing Room, and already the mention of a "V3 KAITO" is shoved into his face. It first appears when he passes a newspaper stand. He briefly pauses to skim the front page, then moves on without picking one up. The second time he encounters the news is on the street when he steps on a stray front page fluttering in the wind. He idly kicks it aside and continues walking.

The third time is when KaITO is exiting a convenience store with an ice-pop in hand. He notices the same newspaper in the trash bin he was about to toss the wrapper in. Rolling his eyes, he picks it up and sits down at a nearby bench to read and eat at the same time. There was no escape, he supposed.]

Slow news day today, [he says while skimming the paper. No deaths, outbursts of violence, or kidnappings.] How disappointing.
