V3 for the blues

[One morning in dressing room, flyers have been given to everyone, even in the front paper of the newspaper. 'The first Crypton VOCALOID 3' and the news follows; Crypton has upgraded the male blue Vocaloid, KAITO, and he is known as KAITO V3. He received a very welcome from the public and surpass Hatsune Miku in sales. Comes with four voice banks, it's similar to Append; Straight, Soft, Whisper, and English for international use. KAITO V3 is successful result for VOCALOID 3 and Crypton decided to upgrade the others as well.]

It should be out months ago, but oh well. This year is a good start anyway.

[Says the append looking blue Vocaloid on top of the bus. He swinging his legs while reading the news.]

Well, other Vocaloids are all about the advertising, and it's not like we have any companies here to provide the budget.

I mean, I'm assuming the Kaito on these things is the one behind it. Makes sense.

Not certain who he'd even be selling himself to over here, but...I suppose a congratulations is in order? Is that, you know, general protocol for updates and the like?

Pretty much is. It's usually a really big deal for most us singing robots. I just want to... check him out too. Make sure he's okay. I mean.......

[will hesitate for a long moment before taking Piko up on that hug, though a little stiffly. somehow... this reminds Meiko of when she comforted him after what happened in the Asylum, and that whole mess never really makes for pleasant memories.

Well, no! That would be an awful thing to do to someone, wouldn't it? I mean. You already run the risk of accidentally pushing it yourself with it all out in the open like that. What if you fall and turn yourself off? Can't even call for help because you're just. Off. You could just lay there for hours on end and no one would know, not even you. I suppose not being aware of all the time spent offline might be nice, but it would still be jarring whenever you get switched back on. If ever; what if you were somewhere out of the way, somewhere people wouldn't think to look for you? What if an unsavory character found you? Can't defend yourself, can't call for help, it would just be an all-around horribly terrible situation to be in.

It just seems odd, doesn't it? Going from decently concealed emergency shutoff options to a brightly colored switch, like some sort of...toy that can be put away at any time. I know I wouldn't want any part in that. Upgrade indeed!

[Not that he would've minded this sort of upgrade for the Kaito they all knew, but you're part of that "family" and he doesn't feel like getting yelled at today.]

Ah, that...h'm. That does make a lot more sense, doesn't it? Wouldn't be a terribly effective switch if it didn't work once he took the coat off. Yes, yes, I like this idea better. Let's assume that's what this is until proven otherwise.

Alright! I can be on board with this now. Congratulations to...whichever Kaito it is that's been upgraded. Don't really know that many, and I doubt it's any of those I do know.
