Meanwhile...
[Beneath a tree in one of the Dressing Room's many parks, a Rin lies, apparently sleeping. Perfectly normal, right? Well-- except for the fact she's in a hospital gown.
And those choking noises she's making as she struggles to breathe.]
F-- father?
And those choking noises she's making as she struggles to breathe.]
F-- father?
no subject
He dropped his shopping bag.
It...was it? Was that...his...?
She needed help!
Len could figure things out after he'd run to her side, which is exactly what he did; immediately holding Rin up in a sitting position and rubbing her back to help her breath.]
Are you al-- [Well obviously she's not alright, stupid. Seeing her like this was making him panic.]
Wh-what's wrong?!
no subject
Hard... To breathe... I need the oxygen...
no subject
[Oh crap oh crap oh crap, what a time to be sent here!]
Just...breath slowly! [Alright, Len...think! You haven't seen any hospitals around here. What else is there?
...
Dammit stop panicking and think properly!]
no subject
Of course, that's just lack of oxygen making her tired. And the pain]
...Park? That's... impossible... I should be in... the hospital... Father would never... let me be taken off the tubes...
no subject
Right now... [Right now, what? What could he possibly-- PRIEST GAKUPO! He could heal people, right?
He was usually at the library, which was...ah! Yeah, Len could remember the way, now.
He just had to calm down a little.
But he was still very far from being anywhere close to calm. Even so, Len was using the nicest, most re-assuring voice that he could muster when he spoke next.]
I'm going to carry you to someone who can help, alright? Don't be frightened.
no subject
[Rin's eyes flutter open]
no subject
They...they were just like hers. Was this really his Rin?
He'd had a feeling from the moment he found her but...if this was his Rin, she couldn't breath.
He has to get her to the library.
So, up she goes.]
no subject
Then... if we... are together... [more coughing]
I... finally died?

Shit it is her, it's her and she can't--
Everything his re-incarnation had said was true.
NononononononoNO not like this! It can't happen! He won't let it happen!!
He won't!]
no subject
N-not quite so...
no subject
I'm getting help.
[The composure didn't last very long, but he's going to try and cover it by heading to the library as fast as is safe when carrying the most precious thing in the world to you.]
no subject
He's here.]
I'm so... glad...
no subject
He...was happy to see her too, but...Len wanted her to live. She deserved it more than anyone. His heart hurt, and now the tears wouldn't stop.]
I...s-said I would wait, didn't I?
[He just had to get to the library- it wasn't much farther! Don't leave him again, Rin.]
no subject
I'm... so... sorry... I... should... have... told... you...
no subject
[And with a rather more dramatic entry than intended, they seem to have reached the library at last. Len immediately kicks one of the doors open(his arms were busy, what other option did he have?) and rushes inside looking for the buildings' most frequent occupant.]
GAKUPO?! PRIEST GAKUPO! WE NEED HELP!!
no subject
Oh. Oh.
The book he had currently been holding was set down, and he made haste to the source of the shouting. Even with just a glance the Rin in Len's arms did not look good in any stretch of the word.]
What happened?
no subject
I don't-!
She's dying!
no subject
Len didn't know? Healing effectively would be much more difficult without a specific target, but it was possible. And damn everything if he wasn't going to try.]
no subject
But he's not letting go of her hand.
He will make some attempt at the staying calm instruction, but it's one of the hardest things he's ever done.]
Sh-she was at a hospital...on oxygen, before she was brought here. I-I...I don't think she can move by herself.
no subject
At least she got to see that boy again, Rin doesn't understand why her Father said he was dead, but she's so glad he wasn't. His hand is warm-- even more reassuring than his letters.
If only she could find the air to speak properly.
All she can do is nod, though, as Len speaks.]
no subject
Oxygen. She was having some obvious trouble breathing to back that up. Alright, then, first target was her throat and lungs. He took out his bible, keeping a hand free to hover over Rin's chest.]
Kyrie, rex genitor ingenite, vera essentia, eleison.
[Halfway through the first sentence his hand began to emanate a soft light, which also slowly worked its way around Rin.]
Kyrie, luminis fons rerumque conditor, eleison.
Kyrie, qui nos tuæ imaginis signasti specie, eleison.
Changed some wording
While he had been expecting something like this, it was still quite impressive. But that didn't sate his worry at all, and though they had lessened, his tears were still streaming down his cheeks.
All he can do now is watch, wait, and hope.]
no subject
Christe, lux oriens per quem sunt omnia, eleison.
[The light shines brighter, yet not bright enough to be painful to look upon. In fact, for those in contact with it, it's actually quite comforting and warm.]
Christe, qui perfecta es sapientia, eleison.
no subject
Then the glowing started.
Her eyes widen-- darting between the boy and the Priest as if seeking an explanation for this clearly impossible thing.
Strange, though, she feels very relaxed suddenly.]
