Sup guys, Stel here, interrupting your IC so that everyone sees this announcement.

After hearing from everyone about their plans - and seeing stuff like this rather impressive state of LJRP at present - it seems fairly clear that the majority vote is to move to Dreamwidth.

To that end, the following comms are made up and ready to join, though currently very bare-bones:

Now that importing is available to any size comm, this post is basically a last-gasp chance to air any concerns or issues you might have while I contact the relevant people to try to get full moderatorship and then push the big button tomorrow to port entries across. This community will stay up and open for anyone who wishes to stay on LJ or else post on both sites, and I would absolutely encourage people to do so - I don't want to leave anyone behind, honestly, and I apologise if it seems that way.

The main comm will get paid-accounted tomorrow as well - I'm really not fussed about doing that to help the import go smoothly. If anyone's good at DW design and wants to step up to help make the place look pretty, I'd totally appreciate it - I'm pretty terrible at picking things like colour schemes or nice graphics.

Additionally, anyone with any ideas for changes to rules or mod business that we can make in the wake of the move, that would also be great to hear! I'm already planning to make tagging open so that anyone can clean up and add tags should someone forget them - that's kind of number one on my list - but other ideas are welcome.

[Just like pretty much every other city in the world, the DR appears to be getting into the Halloween swing early this year. Already, there's signs of suitably seasonal decorations up - lights are strung up over buildings in appropriately evil and malicious patterns, and wherever you look the warm glow of torches and lit pumpkins fills the streets, or else the odd bonfire can be spotted as a hint of yellow over the rooftops. Slowly, the stores are filling with black and orange, and heaven forbid you try to get any candy that isn't candy corn or that doesn't come with a jaunty spider face.

Except... no-one seems to actually be setting any of the stuff up. It just sort of appears, out of nowhere, and it's getting more and more prevalent and cliche every day. You could have sworn that you didn't own five different types of black velvet Dracula cape yesterday, and those bumps in the night have seemed a lot bumpier lately. Is that something in the shadows - a figure, or maybe just a black cat skulking around? Either way it's hard to tell, with all the dim light around. Weren't there streetlights along this road?]

(It's October, and the DR is changing to match, be it for fun or for atmosphere or for more malicious pursuits! Think basically every cheesy or stereotypical Halloween thing mashed together into one big clump, and roll with it from there as you like. As ever, this is purely optional - please tag your posts with 'event: october' to mark them as such. Further event posts to come later, once I figure them out exactly. My apologies for getting this up late, and I'll be backtagging and catching up my crap later on tonight.)

Evening! As of today, the RPG EVENT is officially over! All of the monsters have packed up and left the town, the bars are back to normal, and any and all ridiculous armour or leek-themed weaponry has vanished into thin air. Happily, characters are no longer speaking in boxes. I hope everyone enjoyed this event, and we'll be back with a new one next month.

Hello, dressing room residents! We are here today with the DR's very first event. This week will be--

TOETO WEEK.

Short version: characters are turned into tiny, moeblobby, animal-hat-wearing versions of themselves. Because who doesn't love moeblobs, right?

Long version:: A Toeto is not necessarily "a tiny thing that blushes and stammers a lot". Rather, it is a manifestation of the character's insecurities and doubts, only exaggerated by ten. Let's say, for example, that your character is afraid of cats, but is very self-restrained and so only shows slight signs of discomfort. Their Toeto would react to the sight of a cat by screaming and running to hide behind a tree. Basically, like that!

Inclusion of your characters in the event is not mandatory by any means. If you want your character to stay as they are and simply observe, that's perfectly fine! And if you really want, you could always backdate/forward-date your posts so that none of the characters in it will be affected.

The event starts today, and will go on until next Monday. Please tag your posts with [event] toeto for the length of the event. But most importantly, have fun, guys! ♥
