[Luka is standing in the bus's kitchen, chop-chop-CHOPping vegetables with a kind of vigor that makes it abundantly clear why she, of all the Vocaloids, was given The Tailor Shop of Enbizaka to sing. the continuous, monotone sound of the knife hitting the cutting board at a completely even pace is so very loud that it can be heard far outside of the kitchen; along with it, there's also a much less foreboding smell that carries itself through the bus.

What if it doesn't get any better, Luka... ?

Well . . . then it doesn't get any better. Sometimes that's the way things turn out, I'm afraid.

That won't happen, Miku, I promise. "Breaking up" isn't something you can catch.

Luka can't say that for sure. A-after all, even if no one else breaks up, this is all ready too much—! I really, really like that Luka, so I just want her to be happy...

As do I; she's me, after all. But, you know--strange as it probably sounds, sometimes that sort of thing can be for the best. I'm not saying for sure that's the case here, of course. I think they still have a lot of talking to do before anything like that's decided.

But even still... Luka shouldn't be prepared to let Luka give up so easily.

I'm just not sure what I can actually do for her, Miku, other than providing a sympathetic ear . . .

B-but... if Luka didn't want to be with me anymore, I'd fight for Luka...

*Reaches out, stroking Miku's cheek gently* You won't ever have to worry about that, Miku. It's just . . . well, every couple is a little different. I agree with you that Luka shouldn't just give up as things are now, but say she and Meiko work on things and still can't make a go of it. Do you think it's right for them to try and force themselves to stay together?

N-no, it's not that. But if Luka and Meiko love each other, they should at least be able to be friends, shouldn't they... ?

*Nods* I'm sure they'll always be that much, at the very least.
