[ How curious, how curious--it seems a circus has come to town! A very interesting circus indeed. You'll find flyers all over the place advertising it, along with invitations sent out to every person in the area:

But to anyone with half a brain, this place actually looks like NOTHING but trouble. (And, to anyone with a good sense of what's going on, more than a few people have probably already gone missing mysteriously... because who wouldn't want to run away and join the circus?) There's a lot of fire and dangerous objects going around this place; juggling acts with knives, hoops of flames, dangerous animals... still, they'll put on a good show, for free, even. And the Ringmaster? A girl looking suspiciously recognizable to some in an over-the-top outfit and a Harlequin's mask.

... Well, the resemblance might be uncanny, especially given how much she and her fellow performers resemble a certain purple-haired samurai, a girl with goggles, and the boy of a set of twins...

Standing atop a large platform as fireworks go off, directing the crowd, baton in hand, her voice carries well: ]

Stand up, stand up, are you all ready? Boys and girls, the performance is about to begin, so please take your seats! You there, are you bored? Tired? Need a little fun? We're here to provide... until the end of the world! If things seem listless or boring, the Circus will take you somewhere magical... and if you're looking for a job, we could always use more talent~!

[ Because their last clown died in a freak accident, you see, involving a lot of fire and two pistols. ... Yes, an accident. Can you resist the allure of bright lights and a show? ]

Laugh until your face falls off! Come see the end of the road! You, there, don't you want to try standing on stage?

[ Don't worry, folks. They're trained professionals...! ]

Oh, no, we wear masks because everyone else has something to hide! And because it's part of the show, of course~ Won't you stay for a spell?

[ Ahahahahaha. Let us hope you're not afraid of a little danger. Because this girl looks oh-so suspiciously like their last clown who died in a very tragic accident. But their show is hardly boring--it's the kind of thing made for adrenaline junkies, after all.

... Just don't jump into the lion's pen, and you might live. She will take her baton forward with a laugh. So how much do you like fire, dangerous acrobatics, and audience involvement? 'Cause their show is all about that kind of stuff. ]

[The resemblance this boy in the crowd bears to one of those performers who was up on stage a minute ago is surely a complete coincidence.]

[ Complete and utter coincidence. It's not like she sees his face every single day. Nope, not at all! ]

Only if you help me collect the tickets. ... And draw them in, but you're good at that. I'm expecting a decent turnout!

[ Except when they're not but eh sometimes people die and it's totally not their fault. NOPE. Either way, she hates being BORED, so this should be fun! New place, new people. ]

[Yes, it should definitely be fun for them. And their audiences too, of course. He was just looking around to see if there were any guests who looked particularly ~~adorable nervous-looking~~ promising here tonight...]

[ STUPID, BORING PEOPLE. That's who. She made those invitations by hand, too, they're extra-adorable...! But it's funny, because she's seen more than a few pretty cute faces here. Some of them seemed vaguely familiar, and she could SWEAR this one person looked like that clown they'd ~~immolated in a COMPLETELY freak accident, totally~~ lost... hm. She's making some personal notes in her head about who would be promising talent, too; they could always use more ~~replacement guinea pigs~~, after all. ]

I'm expecting you to use those pistols well today~! I bet you'll impress a lot of people, so don't disappoint me. ♥ ... Though, you know, I saw a girl who could've been your twin just a moment ago!

[ ....... Did he even have a sister? She forgets. Oh well, she'll just go and make sure these people are properly handled in order. Gotta take admission and all that. ]

[Pistol, what pistol? It's gone as soon as its been mentioned, hidden away so quickly a passerby might doubt their own eyes.]

Really? She must be a cutie, then! I'll keep an eye out for her. [He sounds fascinated... and doesn't actually bat an eyelid. She won't get any clues to that question from his expression.] But don't worry, even if I'm a little distracted, I'd never disappoint you. ♥

[While the ringmaster is off doing that, he'll be a little ways off checking tickets and assuring jittery guests that oh you'll have a great time don't worry it'll be lots of fun... while gracefully dancing around the issue of actual safety. If she cares to look for him once the number of people who need direction starts to thin out, though, she might notice him pausing to scan the crowd for blond heads. From atop one of those colorful circus balls scattered around, of course ~~(careful not to trip over the smaller ones!)~~]

... Because safety is never an issue they'll discuss, nor care about, but hey. They'd hardly be the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH if they weren't also the last for some people. Those balls are hardly a problem for HER, of course, but she catches him looking once that crowd has thinned some with a smile... ehee. Has she interested him? Now she wants to go find that girl herself and see just how useful she might be... ]

Aw, did you check for me? [He jumps down from the ball without waiting for an answer, landing with an entirely unnecessary flourish.] Oh, I noticed a little lady with a voice nearly as sweet as yours. Think you could make her sing for us?

[...and then he proceeds to change the subject away from would-be twins right away. Maybe he's not actually all that interested. ~~Or maybe he just wants to divert the ringmaster's interest so he can get there first.]~~

[ Giggling. Same as always. Every day should be great fun, yeah? ... Part of that fun is the adrenaline pumping rush of near-death. ]

I think the question is less CAN I, but WHEN will I? ... Heehee... we could use a singer! New acts to keep things fresh...

[ Eeheehee... the only circus that'll make you so happy you'll die, all right. Might be wise to keep your distance--but, still, they definitely seem to be trained professionals, if nothing else. ]

Come now, come now, don't you want to forget the mundane sort of life you have now, just for a moment~? We have all sorts of games, acts, and performances...!

Sounds like a normal circus life would do. What kind of games do you have anyway?

But they have pretty much any game you can think of... some of them more... daring than others. Ring tosses involving fire, for example, or the usual sort of fair games of squirtguns and such. There's special cranes, contests of skill for those with a good ball hand, baseball (did we mention if you miss hitting the ball it's got spikes?), and then the usual sort of rides a circus or fair would have. Then there's darts...

... Very special darts...

... Where a loser from a previous game might be the victim of a poisoning...

Games of balance... all of it's quite standard fare, and the prizes range to all sorts of things, but rest assured there's definitely cute plushes if you prove you have aptitude for it. There's all sorts of things to do--all of them extremely entertaining. Many of them potentially dangerous. It's the sort of fun any teenager or young adult would get an adrenaline rush from, in other words. And they have rides and all sorts of attractions! ]

... The kind of games that you can only play once in a lifetime. Tickets are only five dollars~! The show in the Big Top will be starting in half an hour--how about it? Won't you come forget those worries for a little while? If you buy a ticket, for tonight only, all the games are free!

[He is mooooore concern with the games you offered and the consequences!]

Five dollars sounds like a good deal though.

...But I have to get my life insurance before agreeing any of your games.

[ That's.... actually wise, though, because their games have about a thirty (sometimes higher) percent mortality rate. Not that most people KNOW that... ]

I had weeks spent on the cheap arcade. I gotta admit I would like some challenges.

[Come on, let her give it a try, it'll be fun! Oh, and don't worry if she dies. That's already happened to her and her Len 247 and a half times.]
