[Stops in her reading to look up at her visitor. Give her a moment to pause at what he's wearing. She recognizes him, of course. Just the clothes.]

Perhaps you aware about the changes. This place does randomly picks people from nowhere and fill them in. It takes sometime to memorize the whole place, but I suggest you to have a place to stay.

Tragic ones, happy ones, strange ones, there are many we have amassed and share between us.

No, not quite. [Have a somber smile.]

This tome is an original left to us by our creator. He is the one who has collected these stories from long ago. We two cannot create our own tales, only share that which we've learned.

That is correct. Our creator has long since passed, so our current master is that of a young boy. An only son in the family, he is often left alone and in want of company.
