[If you happen to pass by the UTAU treehouse today, you will see, fittingly enough, a Rook, lying against the tree itself. However, he looks pretty bad, coat torn, covered in dirt, and his head hung. Also, if you listen closely, you can hear him muttering to himself.]

Dammit...looks like I'm done for. Miko-chan...I'm sorry...

[Come help him?]

(OOC: Hello DR! I'm Mariko, returning with a newish muse, Rook. He's from the same verse as omnomoniichan, 25tontrap, etc, and at the moment is on the verge of shutting down. I'll post some more details in the OOC comm.

Doggie?

[ she's coming back when she sees him and hears him (hurray canine qualities). she stares for a few moments with wide eyes. she's a frightened little thing right now, but she's more worried about Rook's condition than how scared she is. ]

[ rushes over and kneels next to him. ]

Miko doesn't know what to do, Doggie! [ is she crying? yeah, she's crying. ]

[Oh Miko, he hasn't seen you in so long, and he thought he'd never see you again. So he ignores the warning screens and puts an arm around her.]

Miko-chan-! [And as soon as he says that, his throat begins to short-circuit.]

[As much as he hates to admit it...she'd probably be safer with Maybe-Ritsu. But because he can't tell her that, he takes the hand that was petting her and pushes Miko towards him. It's okay, go with him, I'll be fine...]

Miko-nee, listen to me. We need to find Haku, and you're faster than I am. She'll help him! I'll stay here with him and make sure nothing happens, but you have to go! Now!

[ looks down at Rook, but then looks at Ritsu ... and then nods, wiping away some tears. she takes Rook's hand again and squeezes it. ]

Miko will be back, Miko promises ... Miko's gonna get Haku-san.

[ and she stands up, even though she doesn't want to leave him, and rushes off to go find Haku. ]

[Ritsu flops down with a sigh of 'this is just not my week', looking at Rooks in slight confusion.]

... I'd ask what the hell happened to you, but I get the feeling you can't really speak right now.

[luckily for Miko, Haku is not difficult to find, especially since she still runs the candy shop whenever she's in this world.]

[Ya think? Rook, however, in a flash of brilliance, comes up with a idea. He reaches over and grabs a nearby stick, and then uses it to write this: 'These guys said us UTAU weren't even worth owning. I called 'em assholes. We fought. I lost. Sorry.']

It cuts off there, because Rook just remembered the last place they hit: His chest. He frantically pulls up his shirt...

...And tries to curse, which comes out as more screechy static.

The flesh surronding his stomach looks like it'll fall off any minute. His chest, while scratched up pretty bad, could be worse.

Rook, meanwhile, is visably seething.]

[Haku almost drops a fairly heavy box she's trying to push up on a shelf, turning to look at Miko worriedly]

Miko... what's wrong? [she puts it down and goes to give Miko a big ol' hug] What happened?
