[It's the middle of the night and, much like Ted a few days before, a rather beat-up looking Rin is standing in front of DA SIGN, reading it to herself. She looks a bit battered and bruised, and her clothing is torn in places, but most telling is the rather old, worn-looking katana strapped, in saya, to her back. If that wasn't a clear enough sign that she wasn't 'normal', there's also the fact she's muttering to herself instead of, in typical Angry Rin fashion, screaming at the top of her lungs.]

Good to see some things never change, 'Rin' is a name to be loathed and hated... heh. Even in death I'm not free.

No, no. I just live here. I'm not even the longest resident!

....Longest? [Confused, Rin draws her katana and studies the blade as if it were a ruler.]

But you look like you're a -- [A pause as it sinks in and she realizes how close she was to shoving her foot in her mouth.] OH, You mean the one who has been here the longest. Figures that I'd misunderstand that. Sorry about that.

It's fine. I -er- made quite a few mistakes myself coming here.

[This girl seemed nice. That was the first, and biggest warning sign. Don't get too close to her, Rin, that just gives her an opening to stab you in the back.]

So who's in charge of the place?

There's the local police chief, but she's mostly just to keep order. There's no real government or anything.
