[Riiiiiiing. Riiiiiiing. Riiiii--]

Ah... hello? Luki? I . . . I wanted to talk to you. Is now a good time? It's about... her--

[The phone cuts him off by beeping loudly before finally dying. Guess who forgot to charge his phone today.]

.... .... .... .... .... damn.

((Just a note: he's from mid-event. Meaning he hasn't gotten on with the stabbity. ... yet.

And another note: Whether or not he actually reached Luki is up to interpretation. If you want to say that he accidentally called your phone or something you totally can, it would just mean more CR and slightly less stabbity. :> (andthatMikuoapparentlysucksatcallingpeopleonthephone)))

[He missed the call since he just turned on his phone recently. It's been off more since of the incident. Now, he is just walking around the place that kidnapped him. Sigh.]

[It doesn't take Mikuo long to spot his childhood friend.]

Luki...! There you are! [He exclaims, hurrying to catch up with the pink haired young man.] I tried to call you! But my phone died...

[That voice......He quickly turns around, eyes wide and a sadden expression on his face.]

M-Mikuo.....?!

[How was this possible?! He..........He was..........suppose to.....be dead.]

Am I seeing things?.....

[He slows down to a slow pace, until stopping a foot or two away from his friend... confused.]

What is it? Is there something wrong...?

[His voice is shaky, putting his phone into his pocket. This was the truth he spoke.].......

You were......dead. You and Kaiko.......died.

[He would assume this was a joke and laugh. But he hasn't felt much like laughing lately.... and it doesn't look like Luki is joking.]

What are you saying...? I'm not dead. I'm right here. And Kaiko, she-- ......
[Trails off, remembering the reason why he had wanted to talk to Luki to begin with. But he doesn't bring it up.]

[He doesn't know his own death? He closed his eyes.

I remember it all....Kaiko was killed and you.....[Goes silent.]

What....?

[His eyes widen. Kaiko... was killed!? He couldn't believe it. He didn't-- didn't want to believe it!]

N... no! That's impossible! I just saw her recently, I... I talked to her! And I. . .... ....

[Trails off, shaking his head.]
If this is a joke it's a really horrible one.

I'm not joking! [Now, he is looking desperate in his eyes.]

[Well now he is starting to believe you... but what he is hearing is different from what you're trying to tell him.]

Somebody... killed..... Kaiko.... ... ... ...?

Tell me who did it.

[His voice turns cold all of a sudden.]

[He doesn't believe you. Do you really expect him to?]

She chose me, and I accepted it. Spending time with her made spending time with you small, making you alone. I did something unforgivable to you.

You were angry, decided to take everything away from me. Everything.

You killed her. Then, you committed suicide. You two became together at someplace I cannot reach. I became alone. It was my punishment that you gave me.

[This is... everything... is so hard to take in. He can't take it all in. How is he supposed to believe these things...? Why was Luki playing around with him like this?]

... but I'm not dead Luki. And I haven't killed Kaiko. I. . . I would never hurt Kaiko!

[He starts to raise his voice, getting angry that Luki would even... even joke around like that...]

And she wouldn't choose you! She. . . she wouldn't do that to me! YOU ... you... you wouldn't do that to me....!!

[He really doesn't know.......And Mikuo angry isn't the best idea]

I'm sorry............But, i'm not joking. I'm not lying. That's the last thing I remember before being...here.

[How can he explain his betrayal? If only he died and Kaiko lived, what would things be like....? He spoke nothing but truth, yet it was hard to accept it. He should have never talked to him again, even if he misses him.]

[Well lucky for you Mikuo doesn't have a knife on him at the moment. That and... if he were to hurt you now, well, that would just prove everything you're saying to hold some truth to it wouldn't it?]

... you're delusional. I would never... NEVER hurt Kaiko! You must have made this all up in your mind because you can't accept that I love Kaiko and-- and because you know she's going to choose me in the end!

[Well now who is the delusional one...]

[ passing by, kaiko has been wandering for quite a bit of time. her phone is being tightly held in her hand, and as she walks pass she spots him. at first she doesn't want to approach him, in case he saw them or if someone else would see them together. but, she's goes up to him, tapping on his shoulder gently and stands off to the side. ]

[He turns around at the tap on his shoulder, only to discover who it was......Kaiko. If you couldn't tell, he looks worse than usual.]

Kaiko.......?

[ she puts on a slight smile, weak but it's there on her face. kaiko can see that look on his face, and she places a hand on his cheek worriedly. ]

A-Are you alright?

[He leans into her hand, so soft and gentle as it used to be.]

Mm................No, not really.

What's wrong?

[ if there's something wrong with me, it would be natural of her to ask what it is. she cares for him, obviously, and she wants to help him. ]

.............[He spoke in a quiet voice, trying his hardest not to burst out crying.]

I'm so happy to see you again. It hurts to say it, but......Before coming here, I just got back from you and Mikuo's funeral.

What...?

[ surprised, she looks at him and is staring at luki with slightly widen eyes. funeral? for her and mikuo? but isn't she here right now, standing with him? didn't she just see mikuo the other day...? ]

I don't... I don't understand... Please don't joke around like that, Luki.

I'm sorry...[He isn't in the mood to explain it, but either Kaiko forgot or she really never died....but.....]

It might just have been a terrible nightmare I had.

We gotten together. We were both happy, yet something was still wrong. I knew Mikuo likes you, yet you chose me and I accepted it. Something that I did that was unforgivable.

Then.........Both of you became dead.

...I chose you, not Mikuo.

[ trying to process the information in her head. ]

And you were left alive while Mikuo and I... [ trails off ]

Mikuo, Mikuo! ... ahhh, you got a cell phone? No fair, I want one!

Kaiko...!? [Well, it sounds like Kaiko. Sort of. A bit more high-pitched and...]

. . . what did you do to your hair...?

Huh? My hair...? This is how I keep it...

[He's still not sure what to make of this Kaiko. She seems... different. Brighter. But he gives her a soft smile nonetheless.]

Heheh! Thank you, Mikuo! But Mikuo is Mikuo! So, nice to meet you!

[ well, she's just walking by, wandering around. this particular kaiko is sure that this mikuo she sees is the one she knows; it's not like she knows any others, anyway. ]

A-Ah... Mikuo-kun?

Kaiko...

[He acknowledges her, but otherwise... doesn't move as he shoves his phone in his back pocket. He... he doesn't know what to do.]

. . . so... you... do you have an answer...?

[He never did get one.]

[ awkward? nahh. just tense and very uncertain as to how to answer this. she's thought about things; about Mikuo and about Luki and how she can't come to any type of decision yet. ]

I don't... I don't have one yet. [ she frowns, and looks away ]

...I'm sorry.

[That might as well have been a rejection to Mikuo. That answer-that-was-not-quite-an-answer... it hurt him. He tried not to show it. But it was difficult to bare the sharp stabbing feeling in his chest.]

... oh... I. . . I see. Then... you... do you like someone else?

[But who could it be? Of course Luki never crossed his mind.]

[ can she be honest with him? would simply just saying that she did like someone else break him? it was the truth -- and Kaiko thinks that she can truthful with Mikuo. he was her friend, right? ]

Something like that.

[ she trails off, and though she is talking to him, her thoughts are on someone else. ]

[Between the three of them Mikuo has always been the one most dependent on both Kaiko and Luki... it is very easy for him to break.]

. . . who? Who is it...?

[He honestly can't say that he is shocked. But at the same time... he still doesn't want to believe it.]

I... [ kaiko's not sure what to say. speaking the name of her other dear friend may end up having to explain some things to Mikuo, and she doesn't want to lose friends or be separated from either of the two. but she can't help but look at him and not answer him.

and she answers him in a very soft, and almost inaudible voice. ]

It's Luki.

Luki-?!

[He exclaims, nearly shouting he is so surprised by this confession. Luki... it... it couldn't be!]

He. . . he knows I like you... so... so he can't...!

...You don't have to shout.

[ walking up to him, she wraps her arms around the teal-haired male and bites down on her bottom lip. Kaiko is hoping that this at least helps calm him down. ]

Please don't be mad at him, Mikuo. Luki is your friend and mine. He won't do anything.

And I'm here with you right now, aren't I?

[Even though the embrace was supposed to calm him down it achieved quite the opposite. His heart was racing... Kaiko... was hugging him. It felt so warm. . . he loved Kaiko's scent. But the last thing he wanted to hear while being held by Kaiko.... was Luki's name.]

. . . . don't leave me. [He whispers, his arms wrapping themselves around the girl's small waist.] Please... don't leave me alone..... don't leave me for him.....

I won't. I promise.

[ those are sincere words, but kaiko knows that sometime she'll have to choose between one of the two. give each of them an answer. surely enough, something would happen and the group of three friends would break apart. she doesn't want that to happen, but now there's no turning back. tangled in her lies now, there is no way kaiko could take back the words she said to mikuo or luki to get things back to the way they were before.

she rests her head at the crook of his neck, and tightens her hold on mikuo, and whispering to him softly, repeating: ]

I'll stay with you. [ then, a pause ] Please believe me.

... I... . . . I believe you.

[What other choice does he have? Either he believes you or... he breaks. He wants to keep believing you. He wants to keep living in this world of lies that they have built for themselves for as long as possible. His arms tighten around the girl's waist, holding her close as he buries his face in her hair and taking in her sweet scent that seemed to calm him just a bit.]

I believe you... I love you. I love you so much...

[ closing her eyes, she moves to place a kiss softly on his cheek. Her lips linger for a moment, before she leans back to look at his face and places a hand on his cheek she kissed. For right now, Kaiko will focus on Mikuo and just him. ]

I love you too.
