[It's hard to take in the fact you're somewhere new when you're too busy running for your life. All Milena Havel knows is that her boyfriend had called her up and then shown up in his own home with an axe in hand. And then, just as he'd gone to turn on her, well, they'd both been ported somewhere else.
She hadn't stopped to question that miracle.
When he'd become confused by his surroundings and given her a chance to escape, Milena took it. And she was going to run until the adrenaline gave out or he caught her or whatever. Even with him cheerfully calling her name, hot on her heels, she doesn't even consider where she is or what's happened--just that she needs to find safety or he's going to kill her.]
