[There is a Kikaito, stopped dead in his tracks, eyes as wide as saucers as his thumb slowly runs down the hand of his exposed, notably jointless, arm.

He starts at a fingertip, slides down the palm, and stills again once he reaches his wrist.

*Having been trying to catch up to him, Nigaito nearly-no, never mind, he did run into Kikaito.*

Oof!

Umm... N-Ni-sama??

[He jerks in surprise at the contact, breathing heavily--breathing. That was oxygen going into lungs and carbon dioxide going out--

This was Nigaito getting scooped up into a hug. A hug with pressure and meaning, a real hug.]

Ni-sama?! *Not that he doesn't love hugs, but this one seems...different. As well as sudden, and...he doesn't usually get them unless he's sad or asks for one. What's going on?

[He doesn't answer or move for a little while, though eventually there is some shaking. Shortly after this begins he pulls Nigaito back, and...he's smiling. Not only that, his eyes were getting quite foggy.]

[It takes him a moment to register that he's been addressed.]

*Wha-shaking?? ...WAS NI-SAMA CRYING?! And, wait, smiling too? What? Whaaat?!*

N-N-Ni-sama are y-you okay?! Wh-what's...a-a-are you crying?!

[Places finger under his chin.]

[Whoa, there. He isn't going anywhere. He places his both palm on Kikaito's shoulder to make him relax.]

Yes, I know. You're totally human now, Kikaito.

[He could feel the skin on Kikaito's shoulder. He wonders how long he's been waiting for this?]

[A long time, Kaito. A very long time.]

...But how? An artificial construct cannot spontaneously become organic.

Waah! *Nigaito pokes Kikaito's hand, then seems to notice something else. Shaking his own hand out of his too-long sleeve he takes a good look at it. He has...fingerprints? And lines!

N-Ni-sama! I thi-think we're human!!

[Screw the "hows" and "whys" right at this very moment, you're getting pulled right back into a hug.]

[Hands now places on his hip.]

I wish I could answer that. But unfortunately, I don't.

[Well, he's not being the smartest guy in the family after all.]

But to sum up, it looks like this world turning us into human.

Eh?? *Nigaito blinks, a little confused, but hugs back. This is nice!* Ni-sama is warm as a human!

I have been in this world one year and ten months and one day. Why is it turning me human now?

[For that long? He's even here not more than 24 hours.]

Maybe this is what everyone wanted? Even I wanted to be human too, for once.

[He keeps the hug, but tilts his head a little.] I have not always been warm?

But there are humans present in this world.

It's hard to notice. But it's fine to fill this place full of humans. Don't you think?
